Do you ever wonder what it looks like to dry fire a compound bow in slow motion?

Dry firing a bow almost never ends well. And unfortunately bows are not cheap these days, so a dry fire can be a nice chunk out of your next paycheck. Many of us always wonder what it might look like when all that force flies through the compound bow without an arrow, but none of us are getting in line to do it to our own equipment.

Thanks to these guys, we finally can see that very thing. Only one thing could make the video more awesome and more interesting and that is slow motion. And that is exactly what they did. Watch what happens to this bow when it is dry fired!

Now you know why all the archery stores you go to have signs hanging in the bow section that say “You dry fire it, you buy it.” Always be safe when shooting and make sure you have an arrow knocked. Yikes.
