LaCrosse

LaCrosse Footwear–and its sister company Danner–have been producing some of the best boots and shoes for women heading into the field for years. The LaCrosse women’s Alphaburly Pro and Windrose have become staples in my year-round kit for everything from warm-weather running and gunning to late-season archery sits. The boots do their job well–and without breaking the bank. Going into industry trade show season for the year, LaCrosse is announcing two new styles for women who hunt, hike, and spend countless hours outside.

LaCrosse Alphaterra

LaCrosse

For outdoorswomen traversing just about any terrain, LaCrosse is launching this unique rubber boot/sneaker hybrid in 2023. The new Alphaterra is constructed with hand-laid premium rubber over a 5mm neoprene core for a flexible, comfortable fit that locks out water and moisture to keep feet completely dry. A thick EVA midsole provides shock absorption and rebound underfoot, while a PU footbed offers long-lasting cushion that keeps feet from feeling fatigue in the field. Covering the entire arch area, the Alphaterra’s oversized shank delivers added support and stability. The toes and heels feature multi-layer rubber for increased durability where you need it most when putting on miles during the pursuit. The Alphaterra’s DP6 last has an 8mm heel-to-toe drop and a generous forefoot width for an overall active, athletic fit that boasts the ultimate comfort and stability. These innovative boots are ideal for bowhunters who need a comfortable, waterproof shoe that won’t track their scent to the stand. The LaCrosse Alphaterra will be available in both women’s and men’s (which also sports a side zipper for easy on and off) models this spring at an MSRP of $169.95.

LaCrosse Ursa MS

LaCrosse

Designed for hunters who tackle varied terrain to get closer in the mid-season, the new LaCrosse Ursa MS (mid-season) has been in the works for five years. Now perfected as the best lace-ups on the market, the boots feature TecTuff PU-infused leather with a PFC-waterproofing for the most rugged, durable, and dependable protection in demanding backcountry. A breathable SuperFabric quarter panel and gusset resist abrasion, while a Hexgaurd rubber rand and mud guard provide added long-lasting protection for your feet. The GORE-TEX lining offers breathable waterproofness to keep you dry during a downpour. Vibram MONT outsoles offer optimal traction through unpredictable conditions, and lightweight EVA midsoles absorb shock while keeping feet comfortably cushioned all day long. Ursa MS boots also sport supportive molded PU footbeds, Bi-Fit stability boards to evenly distribute weight, and ball bearing loop and open hook hardware for quick and simple lacing. The men’s version of the Ursa MS will be available first in spring 2023 at an MSRP of $300, with the women’s model following behind shortly. The men’s boots measure 7 inches high at 3.1 pounds in gunmetal and orange or brown and gold colorways. Look out for the women’s version soon!
