turkey decoy

The thrill of a turkey hunt is mastering the art of deceiving a bird. But is this even fair?

People generally enjoy turkey hunting because of the challenges it presents. There’s nothing more frustrating than calling a bird and not getting a response. Yet, there’s nothing more exhilarating than having a bird come straight to your call at full speed.

There’s a lot that goes into attracting a turkey toward a blind, which is why calls and decoys are always improving. We’re always trying to make the turkey hunting process easier and more efficient.

However, can the process become too easy? Can products be too innovative, thus taking away from the fun and the ethics of hunting?

Well, if there ever was a product that had the power to do that, it just might be this turkey decoy, which looks unbelievably believable.

Live Action Decoys newest product. what do you think?

I suppose my biggest problem with this is that it takes literally no skill it all. A lot of people can call turkeys, but few can call themselves “master” turkey callers. The better you call, the better you hunt. It takes practice.

This, however, does not take practice. To me, this would be the equivalent of blaring turkey sounds over a loudspeaker in a field.

On the flip side, I would like to see this in action just once. I just need to see how fast they come in, even if I don’t like the idea behind it.

What are your thoughts? Is this too far?
