With the season around the corner, a Michigan store is doing its part to help promote youth in the outdoors.

Did you know any kid can get a free junior deer hunting license in Michigan?

If you weren’t wise to this excellent perk for Michiganders, here are the details:

Every fall since 2008, Meijer stores across the state offer free junior deer hunting licenses as long as they’re accompanied by an adult. This year’s giveaway will occur from September 14-15, 2018.

The deal is valid for a single junior deer hunting license, a $20 value, or mentored youth hunting license for children under 10.

Hunters also need to purchase a base Michigan hunting license, which for kids 10-16 is $6. That allows for small game hunting and the ability to buy other licenses.

The mentored youth hunting license, which is only for hunters under the age of 10, includes a base license and does not require any separate purchase of the base license.

You can locate a Meijer store in Michigan by going here.

Remember, this year’s offer is only good Friday Sept. 14th and Saturday the 15th, 2018.
