“One of my favorite locations for photography during the summer months is Mount Evans, Colorado,” says Gene Putney. “At an elevation of 14,271 feet, there are ample opportunities to photograph the picturesque landscape and variety of wildlife, especially the mountain goats—and the kids are always an extra bonus. I captured this image on a late July afternoon when a group of mountain goat kids got rambunctious. They were very entertaining as they rock-hopped and jumped around for several minutes. It was difficult to pick and choose which one to concentrate on until this one separated from the others and put on its own little show.”
