The workshops are a joint effort of the University of Nebraska, Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The workshops are intended for landowners and others interested in learning about:

— Managing waters for fisheries

— Project funding and regulations

— Lake management planning

— Resolving maintenance problems

— Understanding invasive species

For more information, contact Katie Pekarek at kpekarek2@unl.edu or 402-413-1166.

As the news release says, these workshops are intended especially for pit or pond owners.  Let me suggest if you are an avid angler of those types of habitats, and many Nebraska anglers are, you could learn a lot too!  Think about signing up!
