Mossy Oak

The predominant outdoor camo and lifestyle brand, Mossy Oak, is launching a new online music series for all their followers.

Mossy Oak knows a thing or two about what holds the outdoor community together. That’s why their new music series is something we’ll be tuning in to and paying attention to when as it takes us into early summer in a 2020 season that’s been anything but normal.

The brand announced the start of ‘Sticks & Strings: Live From the Country’ as a way to bring fresh content to the outdoor-loving folks who are looking for ways to engage and connect in the midst of a global coronavirus pandemic.

The ‘Sticks & Strings’ series will premier on Thursday, April 30, 2020 on Mossy Oak’s Facebook, YouTube and on the Mossy Oak GO App at 7:00 p.m. CST.

The first edition of ‘Sticks & Strings: Live From the Country’ will feature GRAMMY-nominated artist, Brent Cobb.  Cobb and Mossy Oak will be dedicating Cobb’s performance to raise money for Second Harvest of South Georgia. Second Harvest of South Georgia is the leading hunger-relief organization in the region and the second largest food bank in the state.

We can attest that Mossy Oak and its team of employees, from top to bottom, are all genuine folks who stand behind their work and their beliefs. Connecting with well-known musicians for meaningful reasons reinforces that idea, and this ‘Sticks & Strings’ concept just seems to make sense.

“Everyone here at Mossy Oak is proud to bring a little sunshine to Georgia with Brent in these trying times,” said Toxey Haas, founder of Mossy Oak. “We are especially honored to do it to help the good folks at Second Harvest.”

Second Harvest of South Georgia is a proud member of the Feeding America organization.

“I’m glad to be able to work with Second Harvest on this livestream,” said Brent Cobb. “They’re Georgia based. They know the folks I know. They love the folks I love.”

If you aren’t familiar with Cobb, Mossy Oak provided a nice synopsis of his career so far:

With a Grammy nomination under his belt and two major label albums to his credit, Brent Cobb’s songwriting career does not begin and end with his solo accomplishments. Brent has also secured cuts with Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Little Big Town, and Lee Ann Womack, and toured with artists like Chris Stapleton and Whiskey Myers. He received a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album for 2016’s Shine On Rainy Day, and issued his most personal album yet, 2018’s Providence Canyon. Earlier this year Brent decided to go back to where it all began with the re-issue of 2006’s No Place Left to Leave, the independent record that launched his career. He released this record in tandem with the launch of his own label, Ol’ Buddy Records. 2020 still has lots in store for Mr. Cobb. He just released a stand alone track called “The World Is Ending” that he wrote in 2011 just before the Mayan calendar ran out. He thought it might help to shine a little light during these uncertain times. Stay tuned to see what the rest of the year holds for Brent Cobb.

Mossy Oak seems to always be making meaningful decisions to invest resources in the right places, and a donation-driven live music series fits right into the mold they’ve built for themselves. The leading outdoor lifestyle brand specializes in developing and marketing modern camouflage designs, but they also know how to satisfy an outdoorsman and woman’s wants and needs in other areas, too.

They’re devoted to the world of the outdoors, and love spreading that devotion to adjacent categories as well, in this case country music and community support.

Be sure to tune in to Mossy Oak’s various online channels for more musicians down the line as the ‘Sticks & Strings: Live From the Country’ series rolls on.
